Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez Rekindled Romance Did NOT End Because He “Couldn't Promise ...

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's rekindled romance did not end because he "couldn't promise her marriage," despite a report. This untrue story comes from a site known for spreading misinformation about the on-and-off couple. Gossip Cop can bust this latest allegation.

Bieber and Gomez went their separate ways in early March after reuniting for a few months. Now in May, HollywoodLife is claiming to have "exclusive details" on how she "had to walk away" because "he couldn't promise her a serious future that included marriage." It's specifically alleged Gomez wanted Bieber to "start thinking about a serious commitment in their future," but he "wasn't willing to go there yet."

A so-called "source" is quoted as saying, "He wasn't ready to settle down with her as soon as she wanted to and she couldn't get him to actually think about marriage in a serious nature." The blog's supposed insider goes on to contend, "She was looking to settle down sooner than Justin wanted to and she took his reluctance as the last straw to finally move on from him." The outlet further maintains, "She won't go back [to] Justin unless he's ready to think about putting a ring on it."

None of this is accurate, however. Another Bieber-Gomez reconciliation is not dependent upon an engagement, nor was a refusal on his part to get married the reason for their latest breakup. The website wants readers to believe Gomez was ready to tie the knot, but that's not actually the case at all. In fact, "Entertainment Tonight" reported about Bieber and Gomez's split, "Right now Selena doesn't have it in her to be in a serious relationship." Similarly, in a story about how Gomez has moved on from Bieber, E! Online notes, "She is much happier doing her own thing… and is fully open to dating."

That is not someone who wanted their boyfriend to "promise marriage" and ended the relationship when he wouldn't. HollywoodLies is claiming the exact opposite of the truth. And speaking of opposites, this new narrative from the online publication actually contradicts pieces from February, in which it alleged Bieber was ready to propose, but Gomez "doesn't want to rush things." Now the blog has completely flip-flopped.

The only consistent aspect is that the outlet is once again offering readers fake news. And instead of proving that its insight is real and legitimate, all the publication is doing is demonstrating why Bieber wanted HollywoodLife shut down and why Gomez has called it "the worst" in an interview with Billboard.
