Justin Bieber Playfully Mocks The Weeknd While the Grammys Air

Justin Bieber was noticeably absent from the Grammys Sunday night, even though he was nominated for four different awards. (Drake and Kanye West also skipped the proceedings.) But Bieber nevertheless managed to make his presence felt in, uh, pretty Bieber fashion. The pop star went out to dinner with his friend Alfredo Flores, and then the two signed on to Instagram Live, where they fielded some questions from fans. Asked what his favorite song is at the moment, Bieber responded, after a pause, "'Starboy' by The Weeknd,'" before laughing emphatically. ("Oh s---, that was funny," Flores assessed.)

Now—and this is the time to break out the flow chart you designed last month to better understand this triangle—Bieber dated Selena Gomez on and off for several years. Gomez is now reportedly dating The Weeknd. Last month, as the Gomez-Weeknd relationship was gaining steam, Bieber was asked by TMZ about the Weeknd's music, to which Bieber quipped, "Hell no I can't listen to a Weeknd song. That s---'s wack." (That quote is actually now engraved on a plaque in the Library of Congress, we hear.)

Neither The Weeknd, nor Gomez, has responded to any of Bieber's comments so far. The Weeknd performed at the Grammys Sunday night, though Gomez did not attend the ceremony, as some had believed she might. She did join him for one of the afterparties, though—Rihanna's soiree at 1Oak. Per the Daily Mail, Gomez and The Weeknd arrived in the same vehicle, and attempted to keep a low profile (Gomez is turning her face away from the camera in all of the paparazzi shots). The Daily Mail notes that she "[opted] for a more casual look in a denim jacket, with her hair swept into a voluminous ponytail." (Count on the Daily Mail to make the choice to wear a jean jacket sound positively portentous.)

This all feels far from over, in a kind of exciting way, doesn't it? Will the three all accidentally show up to Delilah on the same night in three weeks, drama to ensue? Will The Weeknd wait to address Bieber in a song, in a sort of Well, I've got a new favorite song for you now way? Will The Weeknd's ex-girlfriend Bella Hadidget involved again in some fashion?! And what, most importantly, does Rihanna think about all of this? (No, Rihanna doesn't really have anything to do with it, but we just feel like she'd have amusing commentary.)

Adele in Givenchy

Adele's influence is so powerful at this point, the name of this green hue has—we've been told—officially been changed to "Adele Green."

Lady Gaga

Just another dull, understated, and sedate look from the one and only Lady Gaga.

Beyoncé

What is there to even say? At this point, she can hardly even be classified as the same species as the rest of us.

Rihanna in Armani Privé and David Webb and Chopard Jewelry

This Hallo-Rih-een-y look (sorry) is not going to be everyone's favorite, but what's so wonderful about Rihanna and her fashion is that: she doesn't care what any of us think.

Paris Jackson in Balmain

This dress sort of reminds us of when we're sitting on a couch and take a blanket and wrap it around our body . . . and then stand up with it still wrapped around us. It's funky!

Chrissy Teigen

This is an edgier (dare we say "goth"?!) look from Teigen, and she looks great. Teigen and Legend always just seem like they're having a really good time when they go to award shows, don't they?!

Celine Dion in Zuhair Murad

Dion has received a lot of press lately for her recent vibrant, fresh red-carpet fashion, and this green dress is another stand-out look. (It's almost like the adult, sophisticated version of the iconic Jennifer Lopez 2000 Grammys dress, no?)

Jennifer Lopez knows how to turn out a Grammys red carpet look. She brings drama and glamour, but also always makes you think, "No one other than J. Lo could pull this off."

This look may be divisive, but it feels very 2009 in a fun way, and what do we come to the Grammys red carpet to see if not "2009 in a fun way"!

The top half of Perry's dress and the bottom half do . . . not seem like they would be Facebook friends, if you know what we mean, but, that said, the whole effect is very Perry and spunky and memorable.

Solange's dress looks like a piece of art and also somehow like it'd be very comfortable to wear, at the same time?
