He received four nominations at the highly-coveted awards show.

But Justin Bieber decided to skip out on the 59th Annual Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday night.

The 22-year-old pop singer opted to step out for some sushi instead as he dined on the popular Japanese cuisine.

The Sorry hit-maker shared a moment of his evening out in a short video posted to his Instagram Stories.

He wore dark oversized glasses and a mustard yellow-colored hoodie layered over a white tee.

Bieber was expressionless in the clip, as he panned over a small plate of what appeared to be ahi tuna sashimi.

A pair of unwrapped chopsticks sat neatly on a napkin next to the square dish.

The Canadian crooner is nominated at the 2017 awards for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for Love Yourself, and Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for Purpose.

This year's award show will be momentous as Beyoncé received nine Grammy nominations, more than any other artist.

That leaves her as the most-nominated female artist ever, with 62 nominations and a total of 20 wins.

Drake, Rihanna and Kanye West follow with eight nods each in the contest for the music industry's highest honors. 

The awards are chosen by members of the music industry and in the past have often been dominated by rock and country music.

The Grammy Awards are hosted by James Corden and will air live on CBS Sunday night.
