Justin Bieber wasn't one of the famous people at the Grammys yesterday, even though he was nominated. So he had the opportunity to see Beyoncé's epic performance, and Adele's emotionally beautiful acceptance speech for Album of the Year, in the flesh, but decided to stay home 'cos he can.
It means he also wasn't there for The Weeknd's performance, but it seems Justin still had The Weeknd on his mind anyway.
Biebs did an Instagram Live video and was bombarded with fan questions (obviously). One of the questions he decided to answer was what his favourite song of the moment is.
"Favourite song of the moment?" he said in the video. He paused. And then he said, "'Starboy' by The Weeknd."
So Justin Bieber just admitted this his on-rotation hit of the moment is by the guy who's now dating his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez? Is this real life?
He then laughed for like 15 seconds non-stop, bringing everyone back to reality.
And it was clearly a hilarious moment for Justin and his mate, Alfredo Flores, who could be heard in the background saying, "Oh shit, that was funny."
After dropping this news, Justin decided to wrap it up. "We've got to end it now," he said. "Oh, that was too funny. Bang, bang!" Then just like that, his Instagram Live session was done for another day.
Now that Justin's back on Instagram after taking a break for a few months, we can probably expect him to share a few more shady tidbits as The Weeknd and Selena's relationship continues to develop. He's already done it before, saying less than a month ago about The Weeknd's music, "I can't listen to a Weeknd song! That shit's wack."
