FOOD Week tickets on sale Monday morning

TICKETS for this year's FOOD Week events are expected to march out the door again when they go on sale at 10am on Monday.

The event is a 4.1-kilometre stroll through vineyards with nine courses of food and wine and live music during the trip.

FOOD Week Inc president James Sweetapple said people had already been inquiring about securing tickets.

"It's just like a rock concert, like Adele or Justin Bieber or whoever you fancy," he said.

"We have a site like Ticketek, which will handle everybody, but of course, it's going to sell out quickly."

For those who miss out of Forage, there will still be plenty to do during the week, with more than 90 events planned.

Signature events FOOD HQ at the museum, the FOOD Train from Sydney, the Night Markets at Robertson Park and the Sunday Producers' Market and Brunch at Cook Park will be back for another year, with an Autumn Grazing Dinner in Blayney a fresh addition.

The dinner at Carrington Park, open to 300 guests, will feature guest chef Alex Kearns from Glebe Point Diner.

The event will replace the 100 Mile Dinner, previously held at Molong.

"We haven't had a guest chef for many, many years so that will be good," Mr Sweetapple said.

This year marks the 27th year of FOOD Week and the third in its efforts to improve sustainability – the event had its sustainability management system accredited by the International Organisation for Standardisation last year.

"We were the first food and wine event to achieve that," Mr Sweetapple said.
