Hailee Steinfeld has quickly denied those rumours she is dating Justin Bieber.
The Pitch Perfect actress said that a picture appearing to show the pair in a cosy chat posted on Instagram yesterday was misleading, explaining that she and Bieber have actually been friends for years.
This image followed rumours they were seeing each other after Bieber was initially pictured FaceTiming the actress last month, and TMZ reported that they were introduced by their mutual pastor and hit it off from there.

But 20-year-old Steinfeld has now spoken out on a New York radio show to deny they are dating.
When asked by a host on SiriusXM's Morning Mash Up if she's going out with Justin, she replied: "No I am not. I know it's crazy, I don't know why people make such a big deal.
"We're friends, we've been friends for years and yeah."

Even friendship with the Bieber could be troublesome for Steinfeld though, as she's part of Taylor Swift's 'girl squad' – alongside Bieber's ex Selena Gomez.
But then, Selena herself been developing her own internal rivalry, as she's currently dating The Weeknd – Bella Hadid's (another Swift squad member) former boyfriend.
