While it's unclear to tell if Selena Gomez really left that comment on Justin Bieber's Instagram — thanks to, y'know, the advent of Photoshop — things just got a whole lot more complicated as now, it seems that Justin has replied.
Yep, on the same Instagram photo of Justin and Sofia Richie hanging out together (which they've been doing a lot of lately), Justin seemed to reply to everyone and no one in particular, "It's funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love." That comment is followed up with another, which reads, "I'm not one for anyone receiving hate. Hope you all can be kind to my friends and each other." (Please note the use of "friend," which may be a stand-in for the name Sofia, or could be a generalization.) "And yes," it continues, "I love my Beliebers."
That last bit appears to be a direct response to the comment Selena allegedly left, which read "Don't be mad at your fans. They love you and supported you before anyone ever did." But it's the first comment, in which it sure seems like Justin is making a major dig at Selena — whom, we should remind you, is very much famous in her own right. She was famous before she met Justin, whom she only met because she was a bona fide Disney channel darling. She's also not the one posting photos of her throwback days with Justin, driving the internet into a tizzy. And of course, there's that Instagram collage she posted of her fans, thanking them for their support and love. We have a feeling that they're not giving her "attention" because of her exes (who also include Nick Jonas and a totally normal dude).
All may be fair in love an Instagram comments, but claiming that someone is "using you" for attention might be a step too far. In either case, it seems the hope for a Jelena reunion has finally sunk for good.
