All About Justin Bieber: Selena Gomez's Mom Still Isn't Happy About Her Reunion With Justin Bieber

It appears Selena Gomez's mom still isn't happy about her daughter's reunion with Justin Bieber.

Just last month we reported that Selena's mom, Mandy Teefey ended up in the hospital after she learned that Selena and Justin were attending couple's therapy together. Now one month and a New Year later, and Selena's mom STILL isn't happy about her daughter's rekindled romance with the "Sorry" singer.

While speaking to Gossip Cop, Teefey said that while she is "not happy" about the reconciliation between the two pop stars, she acknowledges that her 25-year-old child is a grown woman who can make her own decisions.

"Selena can live her life however she wants as long as she is happy, safe and healthy," Teefey said.

It became common knowledge that Selena and 23-year-old Bieber had reignited their flame following Selena's breakup with singer The Weeknd after 10 months of dating. Selena and Justin's on-and-off relationship goes back to 2010 to 2014. Teefey says she hasn't spoken to Justin personally in years.

"Selena is an adult and can make her own choices," Teefey said. "She is 25 years old and knows what is at stake with her health."

Selena sought treatment for depression at Arizona's Dawn of the Meadows facility in early 2014 following a very messy breakup with Justin who was seen out publicly dating other women like Hailey Baldwin and Sofia Richie. Selena also took time off in 2016 to focus on her mental health.

Another source told People that Justin is aware of all the emotional and mental pain he put Selena through and wants to show her loved ones that he has changed.

"Justin is aware Selena's family is not thrilled they are hanging out. They think he caused Selena a lot of grief," a friend of Bieber's told People. "Justin hopes he can prove to them that he has changed."
