A certain webloid is claiming to know Justin Bieber's reaction to The Weeknd dating Yovanna Ventura. But this is the same site that the superstar previously called "garbage" and slammed as "untruthful and hurtful." That's one of the ways Gossip Cop knows this story was made up.
The fabrication factory known as HollywoodLife is contending that "after suprising [sic] speculation that The Weeknd is dating Justin Bieber's ex, Yovanna Ventura," it "EXCLUSIVELY learned what Justin thinks of the whole situation." The outlet actually brags it has the "real answer on whether or not it's bothering Justin, who is now reportedly dating The Weeknd's ex, Selena Gomez." Bieber is "reportedly dating" Gomez? If this online publication had any inside access at all, it would know for sure whether or not they are dating and not have to use phrasing like "reportedly."
So, HollywoodLies, as it's known, doesn't know Bieber's relationship status, but does know his reaction to The Weeknd hanging out with Venture? Sure. A so-called "source" is quoted as saying, "Justin couldn't care less about The Weeknd dating Yovanna. Justin's got his eye on the prize, which of course, is Selena. Justin is determined not to make the same mistakes that he's made in the past, so he's reigning in any insecurities and keeping his jealousy in check."
This alleged snitch goes on and on, repeating "Justin" and "Selena" in every single sentence. No one actually talks that way. That's another indication that this story was manufactured. This piece also follows a made-up article that claimed Gomez was getting "emotional" seeing The Weeknd with other women. That report was also inspired by him being seen with Ventura. So taken together, it's quite apparent that HollywoodLies is just trying to milk the news of The Weeknd and Ventura hanging out by pretending to know how both Gomez and Bieber feel about it.
After all, that's what the blog typically does: It takes a celebrity news topic and exploits it by concocting related stories. In this instance, it's true that Bieber is unbothered by Ventura spending time with The Weeknd as he's focusing on his relationship with Gomez, but the story is still completely illegitimate. Gossip Cop is told that no one in his camp shared his reaction, one way or the other, with a webloid that he despises. Bieber petitioned to shut HollywoodLife down. This is not a place that those in his inner circle are going to leak to. And, as noted above, the site proved it doesn't have genuine insight with its "reportedly dating" line. Don't be fooled.
