We Spoke to Neymar About Justin Bieber's Football Skills, Them Jumping on a Track Together ...

Brazilian football star Neymar Jr. has become one of the sport's elite personalities who's ability and appeal transcend the pitch. This year he became the world's most expensive footballer—more than doubling the previous transfer record—and with 81.1 million Instagram followers, he's also one of the most followed and influential sportspeople in the world.

So it was a no-brainer when Nike hit us up asking if we wanted to do something with Neymar around the launch of its new Fall 2017 Tech Pack collection. His adoration for fashion, sneakers and music is no secret, so we styled the young Brazilian for a quick studio shoot before asking him some all-important questions on his favourite topics.

Check out Neymar in the Fall 2017 Tech Pack collection above and find out if he rates Justin Bieber's football skills, what his all-time favorite sneaker is, and who would be on his football team of musicians in our interview below.

How did you develop your love for sneakers and fashion?

I always like to see new shoes and different clothes, I always loved fashion.

How big is your sneaker collection?

Really big. I don't know the exact number but I have a big collection.

What's your all-time favorite sneaker?

VaporMax.

Are you more into retro or current styles?

It depends, I don't want to choose one. I really like both.

If you started your own fashion or sneaker brand, what would it look like?

I would work with VaporMax shoes and for the clothes, I would design something like a 3/4 shirt in black or white.

Who are the most stylish men in football?

Dani Alves.

How does your personal style reflect your personality?

I think it is a combination of things. When you are happy you put on some nice clothes and when you go to someplace like a restaurant you try to look beautiful. So I think my personal style reflects a lot about my personality.

You've had a lot of different hairstyles, why do you change it so much and what's next?

I don't know what will be the next haircut. I change a lot because I like it and I think it's funny. You can be different.

You had a kick about with Justin Bieber last year, was he any good? Could he have made it as a pro?

Yes, he's good. I don't know if he can be a professional player, but he is really fast and he plays well. If he trained hard he can probably be a pro player.

What about reversing the roles, could you see yourself jumping on a track with Bieber?

I don't think this would be a good thing! *laughs* He's the don on the stage and he is the best in his profession and I am the don on the pitch playing soccer.

If you had to put together a football team of musicians, who would be on your team?

Jay Z would be the goalkeeper. Belo, DJ Khaled, Kendrick Lamar and Travis Scott would play in defense. Justin Bieber, Wesley Safadão and Bruno Mars in midfield and Thiaguinho, Pericles and Drake up front.
