Justin Bieber says Sofia Richie is gorgeous, makes his fans revolt

The Beliebers are not here for it.

Justin Bieber has caused an Instagram controversy of sorts among his dedicated fans, AKA, the Beliebers. Bieber recently liked one of Sofia Richie's most recent Instagram photos of her dining out at a pizza restaurant. He liked it so much in fact, that he decided to leave a comment for his one-time flame, writing: "You are gorgeous" and following it up with a separate comment that reads "!!".

Seems innocent enough, but the Beliebers did not like this one bit.

Richie is now being trolled on Instagram by Justin's fans, with the comments ranging from inane to downright vicious. While one user wrote, "You are ugly", another called Richie a "disgusting whore" and others simply commented with the ultimate Insta-famous diss, the snake emoji. 

Inappropriate to say the least, the hate seems to stem right back to August 2016 when Bieber and Richie were first linked. At the time, Bieber's choice of romantic interest was cricitised by the Biebers so harshly that he was forced to address it on Instagram, threatening to set his account to private. Other users on the post are suggesting many of the nasty comments are from Selenators, Selena Gomez's fans who never quite got over the fact that Bieber moved on from Gomez.

While Richie's own fan base is chiming in on the post defending her, the bullying is definitely not cool.

Richie addressed the first slew of hate comments back in December last year, during an interview with Complex, saying: "This shit is crazy! I commented back, 'I just want to understand the sadness in your heart.'"

"It's frustrating," she added, "My whole thing is I'm trying to spread love to everyone."
