Justin Bieber was "apologetic" after he got stopped by the police on Saturday for using his cell phone while driving through Beverly Hills, Gossip Cop can confirm. The singer was pulled over while driving a Mercedes and issued a citation. We're told Bieber was also "cooperative" and noted he knew better.
This is actually Bieber's first run-in with police while in a car in quite some time. The last time the singer was stopped by cops in a vehicle was two years ago. As Gossip Cop reported at the time, Bieber was ticketed for speeding in Beverly Hills the night before the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards. He was popped for driving 25 miles per hour above the speed limit. He was also in a car with tinted windows and passed a driver are the right, which are both illegal.
In 2014, Bieber was famously arrested in Miami for what the police termed at the time an illegal drag race between him in a Lamborghini and singer Khalil Amir Sharif in a Ferrari. When taken in, Bieber unloaded on the cops in a profanity-laced rant. And it was reported then that he was driving under the influence.
Ultimately, it was proven Bieber was not speeding, nor was he drunk. There was, however, a trace of marijuana and Xanax in his system. To make it all go away, Bieber struck a deal that had him pleading guilty to the much lesser charges of misdemeanor careless driving and resisting arrest without violence.
Though his neighbors in Calabasas alleged in 2013 that Bieber was speeding in his Ferrari in their gated community, he was never charged. And in July 2012, almost five years to the date, Bieber was pulled over and ticketed for speeding in his chrome Fisker Karma in L.A. while allegedly being chased by paparazzi down the 101 Freeway. He was later ticketed for driving 80 miles per hour.
