Justin Bieber refused to sing his hit song "Despacito" during a recent performance in Sweden. And it seems at least one of the Beliebers didn't like to be told "no."
During his headlining set at Summerburst Festival in Stockholm on Saturday, the Biebs took some time to tell the crowd why he wouldn't sing the chart-topping track, which is a remix collaboration with Daddy Yankee and Luis Fonsi.
"I can't do 'Despacito' because I don't even know it," he told the audience. "I don't know the song. I can't do it."
As Justin tried to explain that he didn't know the lyrics to his own hit single, someone in the crowd threw an object at the singer's head. Thankfully for Justin, his reflexes were on point. "Whoa, don't throw things at me," he said after dodging the object.
According to Teen Vogue, it's not clear if the incident resulted in anyone being kicked out of the concert.
Though "Despacito" has marked a number of milestones for Justin, it's also led to some controversy.
During an appearance at NYC's 1OAK Nightclub last month, Justin attempted to perform "Despacito" live; however, he completely bombed after failing remember the words. So what did the 23-year-old singer do? He filled in the chorus with "blah, blah, blahs," which many people considered racist and disrespectful to the Spanish language.
Fonsi defended Justin in an interview with Rolling Stone, insisting the song is very difficult even for those who speak Spanish.
"That chorus is not easy to sing, even for fluent Spanish singers like myself," Fonsi said. "It's got a lot of lyrics, it's kind of tongue-twisty."
