Oh, Rich Chigga. It's been less than 16 months since the then-16-year-old Jakartan unleashed his viral megahit "Dat $tick" on the world, and in that short amount of time we've watched him transform from internet comedian dabbling in rhymes to a serious rapper to be reckoned with, working with legends, touring internationally and getting interviewed by the likes of Pharrell.

Rich, real name Brian Immanuel, recently racked up another impressive achievement while rocketing to worldwide domination – being tapped to replace douchebag prince of pop Justin Bieber (another musician who, as you might remember, got his start on Youtube) on a high-profile song.
Bieber originally recorded a few verses for "Bank Roll", a song by EDM superstar Diplo also featuring rappers Young Thug and Rich The Kid. Diplo posted the original version of the song with Bieber's vocals on SoundCloud a few weeks ago, but it quickly got pulled.
Yesterday, a new version of the song featuring Rich Chigga replacing Bieber's lines was posted, along with this explanation from Diplo:

"other artists made soundcloud take down the Justin Bieber version because they had exclusives with him, you can find it online here tho cause ¯\_(ツ)_/¯" he wrote on Soundcloud, also adding a link to a site where you can download the original.
Was it really due to contractual disputes, or did Diplo simply realize that Rich is simply way hotter right now than washed up one-man-boy-band Bieber right now?

(That's not the actual official music video, as you can probably guess.)
We'll probably never learn the truth, but it would be pretty sweet if Bieber and Rich Chigga became rivals, because we're pretty sure our boy would crush the Biebs like it wasn't even a thing.
Stay juicy. Like Coconuts Jakarta.
