Selena Gomez Justin Bieber romance could be over as Gomez is clearly ready for a fresh start without the Canadian singer or any man in her life.

Gomez is all set to move forward following her emotional American Music Awards 2016 speech.

Gomez took a career hiatus in August amidst her Revival World Tour. At the time, she cited her lupus illness and focusing on her mental health as the reasons for taking a break from the spotlight.   The 24-year-old singer told the crowd at the AMA 2016 speech that she had been "absolutely broken inside" before she decided to focus on her mental health in August.

According to Hollywood Take, there have been reports that the Same Old Love singer has been distancing herself from Bieber over the past months. Moreover, she allegedly changed her phone number. Her friends were supposedly informed not to give her new number to the Sorry hitmaker. There are also rumors that Gomez's family told Bieber not to contact her anymore.

In September, Us Weekly cited a source saying, "Selena lost it. She can be fragile emotionally and Justin is a major factor."

As for Bieber, it looks like the Canadian singer is also not into serious relationship right now, Hollywood Take noted. After his on-and-off romance with Gomez, Bieber dated Hailey Baldwin and Sofia Richie. Both romances did not last long.

Furthermore, Selena Gomez Justin Bieber romance could be Bieber's least of priority right now since the singer is also dealing some issues of his own. He has been struggling to connect with his diehard fans. In August, he deleted his Instagram account after he warned his followers to leave his then-girlfriend, Sofia Richie, alone.

Meanwhile, Jelena fans failed to see the Gomez and Bieber together in AMA 2016. Gomez made a statement in the awards night. Bieber, on the other hand, had a televised performance from his Purpose concert tour in Zurich, Switzerland.

Bieber took four awards out the five nominations in AMAs. He won Favorite Male Artist of the Year Award and Video of the Year award. The singer also won the Favorite Song in the pop/rock category and the Favorite Album in Pop/Rock for his latest LP Purpose.
