Does Selena Gomez hate Justin Bieber? Her recent comments at the 2016 American Music Awards have Jelena fans convinced the exes may never get back together.
Gomez, 24, was radiant as she made a surprise appearance in a gorgeous Prada gown at the 2016 AMAs. But it was her comments, not her dress, that took center stage.

"I think it's safe to say that most of you know a lot about my life, whether I like it or not. I had to stop, 'cause I had everything and I was absolutely broken inside," Gomez said when accepting an AMA. "I kept it all together enough to where I would never let you down, but I kept it too much together to where I let myself down."
"I don't want to see your bodies on Instagram. I want to see what's in here," Gomez said and pointed to her heart. "I'm not trying to get validation, nor do I need it anymore." She then thanked her fans.

Soon rumors started swirling that Gomez was referring to her relationship with Bieber, 22, when she said she was "broken" inside. And fans wondered if the exes still talk.

Gomez and Bieber's last public interaction was over Sofia Riche's Instagram photo right before Gomez announced she was going to rehab. Back in August, Bieber called out his fans for being mean to Richie. He threatened to make his Instagram account private. "If you can't handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only," Gomez reportedly wrote at the time. "Don't be mad at your fans. They love you." Bieber then replied that Gomez used him for attention.
Gomez soon went to rehab in late August to deal with her anxiety and depression linked to her Lupus diagnosis.

But sources say that Bieber was a big part of her problems, as well. And now it looks like Jelena may be done for good. Gomez reportedly changed her phone number, and her family told Bieber not to contact her anymore. "Selena lost it," a source told Us in September. "She can be fragile emotionally and Justin is a major factor."
