Oklahoma City native Olivia Munn, Mark Cuban, Ansel Elgort, Florida Georgia Line, Erin Foster, Sara Foster, Blake Jenner, Hannah Jeter, Bryce Harper, Jenny McCarthy, Milla Jovovich, Idina Menzel, TJ Miller, Janelle Monae, Rachel Platten, Rebecca Romijn, Ryan Seacrest, Miss America 2017 Savvy Shields, Octavia Spencer, Hailee Steinfeld, Chrissy Teigen and Bella Thorne are among the star-studded group of presenters for Sunday's 2016 American Music Awards.
They join hosts Gigi Hadid and Jay Pharoah and performers including James Bay, Justin Bieber, Fifth Harmony, Lady Gaga, Green Day, Niall Horan, John Legend, Bruno Mars, Shawn Mendes, Twenty One Pilots, The Weeknd, special duets from The Chainsmokers and Halsey, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, Maroon 5 with Kendrick Lamar, and the American Music Award of Merit honoree and performer Sting.
Also taking the stage to present throughout the evening will be Matt Bomer, Ciara, Nina Dobrev, Robert Downey Jr., Taraji P. Henson, Julianne Hough, Karlie Kloss, Heidi Klum, Zoe Saldana, Teyana Taylor and Steven Yeun.
The 2016 American Music Awards, billed as the world's biggest fan-voted award show, will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles at 7 p.m. Sunday on ABC.
As previously reported, fans have selected Checotah native Carrie Underwood, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande and Rihanna as the final five nominees for the Artist of the Year award at the 2016 American Music Awards.
In addition, Underwood is nominated for Favorite Female Artist - Country and Favorite Album - Country for her "Storyteller" release as well as for the top award, Artist of the Year. Ada native Blake Shelton is nominated for Favorite Male Artist - Country.
The nominations for the 2016 American Music Awards were announced last month, revealing that Drake leads with 13 nominations, while Rihanna received seven and Adele and Justin Bieber received five nominations each. Beyoncé and The Chainsmokers each received four nominations. Additionally, Bryson Tiller, Twenty One Pilots, Fetty Wap and The Weeknd earned three nominations each.
New Artist of the Year Un-leashed by T-Mobile nominees are Alessia Cara, The Chainsmokers, DNCE, Shawn Mendes and Zayn. Voting for this category is now open and will close Sunday at 7:59:59 p.m.
At the American Music Awards, artists will be honored in multiple musical genres. Pop/Rock, Alternative Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Adult Contemporary, Contemporary Inspirational, Latin, EDM and Soundtrack, are some of the genres alongside the awards for Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year Un-leashed by T-Mobile and Collaboration of the Year. This year, new categories include Tour of the Year and Video of the Year, while Favorite Song categories in the genres of Pop/Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop and Soul/R&B have been added in lieu of the Song of the Year category.
American Music Awards nominees are based on key fan interactions as reflected in Billboard Magazine and on Billboard.com, including album and digital song sales, radio airplay, streaming, social activity and touring. These measurements are tracked by Billboard and its data partners, including Nielsen Music and Next Big Sound.
The American Music Awards winners are voted entirely by fans. Voting is now closed in all categories other than New Artist of the Year Un-leashed by T-Mobile.
For New Artist of the Year Un-leashed by T-Mobile, fans can vote 100 times per day, per voting platform.
