Global superstar Justin Bieber shunned high end London restaurants in favour of salmon and mash at a hotel in Epping Forest.
The Sorry singer, who has been performing at the O2 arena in London as part of his Purpose tour, washed his budget meal down with a glass of milk at the Kings Oak Hotel in High Beech, near Loughton.
He may have been staying off the beers after being criticised for admitting he was hungover during his performance at this summer's V Festival.
The hotel serves gastro pub food, including a two course lunch or dinner for just £9.95. Staff snapped discreet pictures of Biebs and posted them on their Facebook page after he had left.
Paula Silkman, events manager at the hotel, said: "He ordered the salmon and mash with a glass of milk. He wasn't drinking alcohol.
"We've kept the glass. I think one of the girls took it home. It hasn't been washed.
"We respected his wishes and didn't take any selfies while he was here.
"He was very lovely and spoke to some of the young girls who work here, just chit-chatting, before giving everyone hugs when he left."

Many took to Twitter to express how shocked they were that the Canadian heartthrob opted for their local venue.
Tasha Price tweeted: "Justin Bieber went for a pub dinner at the Kings Oak. I did not expect that at all."
And Twitter used Kirst tweeted: "Just so confused Justin bieber could have gone anywhere in England and he chooses kings oak ??? Why pls(sic)".
