Justin Bieber, 22, and his new friend Sofia Richie, 17, have been spending a lot of time together, and HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY learned why she's so relaxed around the singer! "Sofia feels comfortable around Justin cause he reminds her a bit of her father Lionel," a source told us. "She has grown up around artists and singers so she can really appreciate their creative energy." The two have been taking hikes together, hopping on private jets and she was even seen wearing his clothes! So, it makes sense that "she feels right at home, relaxed and inspired whenever she is with Justin." AW!

It looks like Sofia doesn't seem to care that she's reportedly getting flack from his past alleged flames either! After a fan account posted pictures of Justin and Sofia together in Japan August 11, Hailey Baldwin, 19, allegedly put in her two cents and commented on the photos. She apparently demanded the fan "delete this sh-t" immediately. Oh no…But aren't Sofia and Hailey friends?

Justin and Sofia were caught in a PDA-filled moment when he had his arms wrapped around the blonde from behind in the photos. We're assuming they were headed to Japan after being spotted boarding a private jet together. Right before that he and Sofia took to the Hollywood hills for a sweat session when they went on a hike August 10. We seriously haven't seen Justin appear this happy in a while, and we're loving it!

Justin and Sofia first sparked an internet frenzy when they were were pictured enjoying a casual night at the beach August 8, holding hands! It seems like the two close friends are super inseparable these days! Her family is even pretty cool about her friendship too! Her sister Nicole Richie, 34, is "not worried" about a thing, and her father Lionel Richie, 67, is just "fine" with the two hanging out!
