Justin Bieber nabs 8 Guinness World Records

Justin Bieber's major streaming successes landed him eight Guinness World records this year. The 2017 edition of the book awarded Biebs for most streamed track on Spotify in one week ("What Do You Mean?"), most streamed album on Spotify in one week (Purpose), most simultaneous tracks on the U.S. singles chart, and most simultaneous new entries in the Hot 100 by a solo artist.

He was also awarded for his achievements on other platforms when he won most viewed channel on YouTube for an individual, most subscribers on YouTube for a musician (male), most followers on Twitter (male), and first act to occupy all top three positions simultaneously on the U.K. singles chart.

The success of last year's Purpose, which debuted at No. 1, skyrocketed Bieber's numbers. The collection was streamed over 205 million times on Spotify, and "What Do You Mean?" was streamed more than 30,723,708 times in a week.

Guinness presented Bieber with the records on Monday in their New York office.
