It was a week of sweet-and-sour notes in the music world.
• Singer Justin Bieber has some new ink. On his face. He and a male friend recently got matching cross tattoos near the corners of their eyes. The New York tattoo artist Jonboy told Us Weekly: "Justin came in last night and decided on a small cross near the corner of his eye. It represents his journey in finding purpose with God." See? Bieber was channeling the Lord with his face tattoo!
Or Mike Tyson.
• TMZ is reporting that after 33 years of marriage, TV's first reality TV couple have split up ... again. Rocker Ozzy Osbourne has apparently moved out, while Sharon Osbourne is staying in their home -- presumably with their dozens of tiny dogs. Sharon left Ozzy in 2013 after the recovering addict relapsed, but they reunited. Neither an official statement nor a reason had been given by press time. We're guessing it's a lack of communication.
Because who can understand either one of them when they are talking?
• Speaking of reality TV families, there's going to be another Kardashian to keep up with. Rob Kardashian and his new fiancee, Blac Chyna, announced they are expecting a baby -- and she is already showing -- just a few months after they started dating. Oh, and Blac Chyna is the mother of rapper Tyga's baby. Tyga is the boyfriend of Kylie who is Rob's half-sister. So when this baby is born, it could be half-siblings with any future half-cousins.
We can all stay posted by watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Or The Jerry Springer Show.
• David Hasselhoff (yes, he's a singer too! Remember "Looking for Freedom" at the Berlin Wall? The Germans do) is getting married. He's 63. Flip those numbers and you'll have the age of his fiancee, Hayley Roberts. According to Us Weekly, Roberts was quoted as saying she "almost couldn't believe it when her older beau got down on one knee to ask for her hand in marriage."
Or just that he was able to get down on one knee.
• Singer Lauryn Hill recently angered fans by showing up two hours late to a show in Atlanta and then performing for a mere 40 minutes. She explained her tardiness on Facebook: "I don't show up late to shows because I don't care. And I have nothing but Love and respect for my fans. The challenge is aligning my energy with the time, taking something that isn't easily classified or contained, and trying to make it available for others. I don't have an on/off switch."
No, but clocks do. She might try aligning with one of those before funds have a challenge aligning with her bank account.
• Guns N' Roses frontman Axl Rose, 54, has joined AC/DC, replacing lead vocalist Brian Johnson, 68, on their tour. Only he's doing it from a chair; Rose has a broken foot.
Instead of a stand-in, Rose is more of a sit-in.
• Former talk-show host Arsenio Hall has filed a $5 million defamation lawsuit against singer Sinead O'Connor. His suit says: "Desperate, attention-seeker Sinead O'Connor maliciously published outlandish defamatory lies about comedian Arsenio Hall, falsely accusing him of supplying illegal 'hard drugs' 'over the decades' to ... Prince, and of spiking her with drugs once years ago." Defendant Sinead has responded to his suit on Facebook, saying: "I'm more amused than I've ever dreamed a person could be and look forward very much to how hilarious it will be watching him trying to prove me wrong."
Has-beens Sinead O'Connor and Arsenio Hall in a lawsuit. That's one way to "party" like it's 1999 (or 1989).
Party over. Oops, out of time. Email:
