Selena Gomez Is Reportedly Giving Justin Bieber Another Chance For This Reason

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have been giving Jelena shippers new life recently with their casual lunch dates and bike-riding escapades.

The controversial reunion comes after Selena's split from The Weeknd, and now the truth behind her decision to give the Biebs a second (or third or fourth) shot has apparently emerged.

And it looks like it's all down to the power of that first love. A source told People Magazine: "Justin was Selena's first love. He will always have a special place in her heart."

"She's always held out hope that one day the circumstances and timing would be right," they added.

The pair were on and off between 2010 and 2015 but despite their rocky relationship the source reckons Selena "always saw the best in him."

"There have been times in the past where Selena was excited and thought things would work out again, but then was disappointed [by how things turned out]," added the insider.

It's no secret that your first love is always a difficult one to shake, but is going back ever really a good idea? It looks like the Biebs certainly thinks so.

A Justin source told People: "They're having a great time together. Neither are seeing anyone else and they seem happy to leave it at this for now,"

"For Justin, no one ever came close to comparing to Selena. He always thoughts she was the most special and now seems mature enough to realize Selena deserves the best."

Of course, neither have actually confirmed whether they are even back together, but they really do look like they're enjoying each other's company after all these years.
