Justin Bieber has been slated by fans who claim the superstar was miming during his headline performance at V Festival in Chelmsford, Essex.

Fans have been expressing their disappoint via Twitter after legions of Beliebers descended onto the festival site for a performance ahead of his scheduled UK tour in October, but judging by reactions, many might not be rushing back to catch the 22-year-old in laid-back action.

To top off the salty iceberg, Justin even admitted to the crowd: 'Little hungover, I'm not gonna lie, but I'm having the best time.'

He added: 'You guys don't like to fake anything in the UK, which I respect.'

A vocal portion of the audience however weren't quite so enthused by his performance.

Blimey.

As well as tearing through globe-dominating hits Sorry and Lose Yourself, Justin also played an acoustic medley of songs which included a stripped-down version of his latest smash with Major Lazer, Cold Water.

Attendees at Weston Park in Staffordshire tonight will have to hope Justin's second attempt as a V Festival headliner goes a bit more swimmingly, or you know, that he's not hungover.

Alongside Justin Bieber, V Festival at Chelmsford also saw performances from Sia, Bastille, Jess Glynne and Stormzy.
