Earlier this month, the singer - real name Ashley Frangipane - released her new album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom.
The New Jersey native, whose full name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane, told Entertainment Weekly how she came up with the unique title of her new album.
'That was a phrase that I heard an old friend of mine use when we were in New York and living in this sort of fantasy, upside-down world where everyone I knew was doing drugs and didn't have jobs and everyone was f****** each other,' she told the publication. 'It was this psychedelic dream space.'
