The Canadian pop star has caused a furore since he touched down earlier this week, with eagle-eyed fans spotting him playing some basketball in Bushy Park, Terenure.
Going to last night's concert was a last-minute decision for Laura Flynn (19), from Leitrim.
"I was actually on the train back up home and my friend rang me and said 'I have a spare ticket, it's going in the bin so come up now'," she said.
"I ran off the train and got a taxi to her house.
"He's so loyal to the fans and his songs are so real. He was the first album I ever bought."
After several failed attempts over the years, her friend Saoirse Leahy was thrilled to finally secure tickets to the sold-out gig.
"I'm a really big fan and every time I've tried to get tickets I couldn't," she said.
"I woke up one morning at 8 o'clock and got the tickets. I woke everyone in the house up, I was screaming."
Soaring temperatures put the 'Beliebers' in a good mood, with diehard fan Emma Conway from Co Limerick waiting with bated breath to see her idol.
"This is my third time to see him. He's amazing live," she said.
Amy Gorman (18), from Leopardstown, reckons there is something special about the What Do You Mean? singer.
