Fans in Sweden were not impressed when he claimed to not know the lyrics to the chart smash
JUSTIN Bieber narrowly avoided getting bottled on stage.
The 23-year-old Canadian crown prince of pop was performing in Stockholm when the crowd turned on him.
Appearing on stage, and during one of the crowd interaction parts of his Purpose World Tour, JB apologised that he would not be able to sing his current international hit Despacito.
"I can't. I can't do Despacito. I don't even know it," he told the audience at Stockholm's Summerburst Music Festival.
"I can't do it. I can't do it," the star repeated, bending down to pick up a water bottle.
Many of the crowd were cheering, however one individual at least appeared incensed that they would not be hearing the smash hit.
Suddenly, a bottle was launched at the singer – who dodged it just in time as it flew past his head.
Remaining calm, Justin begged: "Don't throw things at me, please."
Justin features on the remix of Despacito – a Spanglish summer tune (the title of which means 'Slowly') made by Peurto Rican pop singers Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee.
The collaboration has been a worldwide hit, topping charts around the globe including America, Canada, France, Germany, and the UK.
Justin's Purpose Tour has been trundling on since March 2016 and will keep him busy until the end of September this year.
He is due to take to the stage in Cardiff late this month when he plays the Principality Stadium on June 30.
He is then due to play London on July 2 as part of the Barclaycard Presents British Summer Time Hyde Park festival.
He will then play dates in America in July and August, return to perform in his native Canada in September, and complete his world tour in Tokyo on 24 September.
