Assuming that at least 45,000 people would attend international pop sensation Justin Bieber's concert in neighbouring Navi Mumbai, police have prepared a detailed security plan which includes use of drone cameras.
Bieber would be performing at D Y Patil stadium on May 10.
Over five hundred police personnel and 25 officers would be deployed for security, said Hemant Nagrale, Navi Mumbai police commissioner, this evening.
Organisers have hired private security agencies for crowd management and ticket checking, he said.
Plain-clothes police personnel would keep watch inside the stadium, the commissioner said.
A police control room will be set up at the venue, where feed from CCTV cameras would be monitored.
The entire stadium will be checked by Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad prior to the event and drone cameras would provide live feed to the police control room, Nagrale said.
The organisers would be providing parking facility for 15,000 vehicles at various places. Shuttle services would be provided between parking places and the stadium.
