Recently, the songstress' makeup artist, Hung Vanngo, could not help but crack a joke about the similarity of Bieber and The Weeknd, with the latter's real name being Abel Makkonen Tesfaye. During her Pantene photo shoot on Wednesday, she came across what appeared to be a reference to her relationships with the Canadian artists.
Vanngo and Gomez were initially saying hi to countries across the world on the makeup artist's Instagram story. Eventually, he decided to make an obvious jest about the singer's love life as they gave a shout out to a certain country linked to her.

In what some have construed as a joke about Gomez's affair, Vanngo told the singer's followers: "You know Selena loves Canadians."
However, this time, the 24-year-old brunette beauty did not react by ripping anything up. Instead, she just laughed it off, said, "Alright, alright," rolled her eyes, and that simply ended the IG story.
Jokes aside, The Weeknd and Gomez's relationship seems to head to something more serious. They have traveled the world together for the crooner's tour. Recently, they spent a romantic date at the Ripley's Aquarium of Canada as the American singer visited her beau's hometown in Toronto. The singer-songwriter even posted a couple of clips of his girlfriend.
While touring in Toronto, the pair had a VIP movie night and was spotted having romantic dinner at the Japanese restaurant, Blowfish. A source told the publication that the duo made a reservation for 7 P.M. and partook in a private booth for about an hour and a half. With delicious delicacies and wonderful tourist spots, the Canadian crooner is proving himself to be an impressive host.

It cannot be denied that Tesfaye and Gomez are in love with each other. They are not showing any signs of slowing down. A source said, "They're doing great together. Abel treats Selena really well and he makes her very happy."
Neither of them has commented about the relationship. However, Gomez has been showing her support for her beau on his European tour. Another source of the outlet revealed, "They are not shy about showing affection in public, and that is not how she usually is." It is added that Selena Gomez is "pretty private about relationships." But, she really likes him and "doesn't feel the need to hide it."
