An Australian university lecturer has been charged with more than 900 child sex offences for exploiting young Justin Bieber fans by posing as the singer online.
Gordon Chalmers, 42, a law lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, was initially charged in November for using Facebook and Skype, among other platforms, to impersonate the Canadian singer and groom his fans to send him explicit images of themselves.
Following searches of his computers and social media accounts he now faces a further 931 charges, including indecent treatment of children, making child exploitation material, using a carriage service to procure a person under 16, using a carriage service for child pornography material and rape.
