Jelena is over, and Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are moving on from each other. And the split has been good for the "Hands To Myself" singer.

Gomez returned to social media on Thursday following her recent rehab stay. She thanked fans who have been supporting her during her tough past few months.

"I have a lot to be thankful for this year," Gomez captioned the photo below. "My year has been the hardest yet most rewarding one yet. I've finally fought the fight of not 'being enough'. I have only wanted to reflect the love you guys have given me for years and show how important it is to take care of YOU. By grace through faith. Kindness always wins. I love you guys. God bless."

Gomez's sweet message came a few days after her inspirational speech at the 2016 American Music Awards. Gomez opened up about her struggle while accepting the award for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist. The speech marked her return to the spotlight following her break to deal with mental health issues stemming from her battle with lupus.

"I had to stop because I had everything and I was absolutely broken inside," Gomez said in part. "I kept it all together enough to where I would never let you down but I kept it too much together to where I let myself down. I don't want to see your bodies on Instagram. I want to see what's in here. I'm not trying to get validation nor do I need it anymore."

Clearly, Selena Gomez is doing better after her rehab stay. She's been focusing on herself more and distancing herself from Bieber. She even reportedly changed her phone number so Bieber couldn't contact her. Her family also supposedly told Bieber to stay away from Gomez.

But that is fine with Bieber. He's not looking for a serious relationship with Gomez or anyone else right now. So he's focusing on casual flings with stars like Hailey Baldwin and Sofia Richie. And that means Gomez can concentrate on her recovery without worrying about drama with her ex.
