Selena Gomez Longing For 'Low-Key' Relationship After High-Profile Love With Justin Bieber

While Selena Gomez dated pop 'bad boy,' Justin Bieber for four years, the singer says she's now ready to try something completely new! In fact, in a recent interview, she claims she's after the type of guy who's actually the opposite of Biebs — a down-to-earth, 'low-key' dude!

Opening up about her love life in the September issue of Vogue Australia, Selena Gomez, 24, revealed that yes, she's ready to to date! But while the singer's most high-profile romance was with Justin Bieber, 22, the songstress admitted that this time around, she'd rather be with a more chill type of guy! Hmm, is that a hit at the Biebs?

"The guys that do have the confidence to hit on me are not necessarily my type, but they think they are because I'm a pop star, I sing songs, do movies, I like to feel sexy and confident on stage," Selena told the publication. "I'd be so stoked with a writer or producer or actor who is low-key, but those kind of guys are terrified of me!"

And we don't blame them, I mean, have you SEEN her "Revival" Tour? Selena is gorgeous, talented, and successful, which is obviously intimidating to any potential suitor! "I think people would think it's kind of dumb (to date me)," Selly continued. "Nobody would want to throw themselves into that situation where it was so heightened publicly, like, why would they?" Aw, we know there's someone special out there for you, girl!

But then again, Selena IS in the midst of her world tour, and doesn't really have much time to date at this point, but she did make sure to point out that she likes "to have fun" and "hang out." And while we were always a fan of Jelena, we totally get why the "Naturally" singer would want to try something new in her next relationship.

After all, Selena's on-again, off-again relationship with Justin started in late-2010 and lasted four years. But of course, like most relationships do, it ended in heartbreak. She even told W Magazine back in February that she was "exhausted" by the endless media attention surrounding their tumultuous relationship. "I honestly am so done. I care about his health and well-being. But I can't do it anymore," she said. Here's to hoping she finds that low-key guy she's been looking for!
