Things are starting to get ugly between Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez — and a Jelena reunion is looking a lot less likely than ever before.
After the Biebs threatened to make his Instagram private on Sunday because his fans were hating on his new girlfriend, Sofia Richie, in the comments, Selena allegedly responded by telling him to keep his pictures to himself and to stop being so mean to his fans.
"If you can't handle the hate, then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend," she wrote. "It should be special between you two only. Don't be mad at your fans. They love you and supported you before [anyone] else did."
Beliebers were quick to applaud Selena for coming to their defense. But rather than accept her advice, Justin instead decided to respond with a couple comments of his own, which suggested he believes Selena "used" him to gain fame when they were dating.
"It's funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way," he wrote. "Sad. All love."
While Selena has yet to respond to Justin directly, her latest Instagram post seems to be the next best thing. Featuring a collage of photos with her fans, Selena captioned the post, "My whole life. You matter most. Thank you letting me do what I love every day."
The shade is real.
