One Direction / Niall Horan & Justin Bieber fans fighting as #saveniallhoran #savejustinbieber trend!

One Direction fans have been getting a little bored of late so tonight they returned, in force, on Twitter.

Those who have supported Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Harry Styles for the last six years haven't had much to go on recently. All the lads have started work on their solo careers and mostly they've been lying pretty low. All we have had to look forward to is some on set pictures of Harry filming Dunkirk and identical photos of Niall at golf event after golf event.

We can see why then fans got a little bit bored and decided to have some fun on social media. So, for no apparent reason, a few hours ago the hashtag #saveniallhoran started trending globally.

At first we thought there was a problem. Was our boy in danger? Is he ill? Did something happen at the Northern Irish Open. Nope. None of that. Tweets included:

Seeing that One Direction fans have come out in force has clearly riled Justin Bieber fans. An hour after Niall had his big moment online, Beliebers started their own #savejustinbieber trend.
