An Arkansas police officer has turned his patrol car into a karaoke studio in an effort to strengthen police-community relations through music.

Morrilton police officer Phil Blaylock has hosted kids from around the area for renditions of popular tunes by Natasha Bedingfield, The Wreckers, Florida Georgia Line and others. He calls it "Cop Car Karaoke." Blaylock, a school resource officer, records the sessions from his dashboard and posts them on his Facebook page.

Over the weekend, Blaylock hosted 6-year-old Madison Wilson, a student at Morrilton Primary School. The two sang Alicia Keys' 2003 hit "If I Ain't Got You." Video shows Blaylock letting the kindergartener take it away when the chorus arrives, then nodding his head as she hits the high notes.

"Wow," he says, giving the performance a thumbs-up.

The two talked about Wilson's studies before they sang together. She said she was learning about math and "not being a bully."

Kids aren't the only ones who step into Blaylock's car for karaoke. North Little Rock police officer Tommy Norman, whose community outreach efforts have gained national attention, joined Blaylock last year for a rendition of Justin Bieber's 2010 hit "Baby." The two discussed their outreach efforts beforehand.

"You know what? I have a blast doing it," Blaylock says in the video.

Morrilton is a city of roughly 6,700 people northwest of Little Rock.
