THE SPICE GIRLS reunion could launch a new record label – and a new generation of girl power.
The legendary pop group want to give something back to new talent as part of their reunion, which I revealed last week.
New music lover MEL C raised the idea of signing their own acts through a Spice music company at their first meeting in six years at GERI HORNER's house on Friday.
And all five members, including VICTORIA BECKHAM, MEL B and EMMA BUNTON, were keen on the idea.
My Spice insider revealed: "The girls all brought their ideas to the table and that included Mel C raising the prospect of a Spice Girls record label.
"It went down very well because they are all excited about backing up-and-coming talent, possibly even new girl bands.
"This reunion is all about securing the Spice Girls legacy, and their own company could be one way to do that."
The meeting went so well that Victoria is now open to a series of concerts, despite her initial commitment to the project being dependent on not singing a note.
The band source added: "Initially the talk about this reunion was more about endorsements and TV shows.
"But after the meeting there is growing confidence about a full-scale tour, at the end of this year or early next year.
"Mel C still needs to be convinced but Victoria is on board for the moment. They've been in constant contact on WhatsApp and on the phone since the first meeting and are all genuinely excited."
I broke the news last week that the Spice Girls were to re-form with Victoria for £50million, and have stayed at the forefront of the story ever since.
Emma returned to her Heart FM breakfast show and confirmed: "There's lot of opportunities for us especially right now, needing a bit of girl power in the world."
Couldn't agree more.
IS IT GIRL POWDER?
THE SPICE GIRLS are considered one of music's most clean-cut bands.
But fans couldn't have avoided reading speculation online last week regarding a suspicious-looking substance on Geri phone in the background of their reunion picture.
Just to clear things up, the girls weren't having a drug-fuelled afternoon tea and scones.
The "substance" was in fact an Apple earbud.
They're all about the music, see.
Nipplegate feud still not over for Janet
JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE and his dancers made sure on Sunday night there was no repeat of his 2004 Super Bowl performance, avoiding any sign of epic wardrobe malfunction.
But I can reveal the US singer had been hoping to duet with JANET JACKSON, whose breast he exposed by tugging at her costume during the infamous set 14 years ago.
But his request was rejected by the diva who's still hurting from the fact Justin never tried to make amends for the original onstage flash.
A source said: "She feels Justin has benefited from the scandal as her career suffered because of it.
"When his team reached out to bring them back together at the Super Bowl, she considered it but pulled out when it became clear they only wanted her on stage in a bid to get better viewing figures."
Justin, who announced four UK dates for his Man of the Woods tour, took plenty of flak for his performance in Minnesota, despite it being nipple-free.
He outraged fans of PRINCE by singing alongside a projection of the legend, despite the late star once having called the idea "the most demonic thing imaginable".
Things were better for P!NK who nailed the US National Anthem – and SYLVESTER STALLONEand AL PACINO were among fans thrilled, left, by the Philadelphia Eagles' win over the New England Patriots.
Meanwhile DANNY DEVITO made a joke of himself by dressing up as an M&M for an advert and Justin also got grief as sound issues marred his set.
Perhaps Janet was fiddling with the wires.
PARA-SPOOF
PARAMORE'S video for single Rose-Colored Boy features this spoof of a morning chat show.
Talking about it, singer HAYLEY WILLIAMS said: "Honestly, this is what every morning seems like. Like there's something darker behind all the bright eyes.
"I always think, 'That's gotta be vodka in those coffee mugs'."
I can confirm it isn't.
Croc not a dun deal
A SPOOF trailer for a new Crocodile Dundee movie during the Super Bowl ads caused almost as much excitement as the epic game.
PAUL HOGAN, the original Mick Dundee, made a cameo with fellow Aussies MARGOT ROBBIE and CHRIS HEMSWORTH, as well as US comic DANNY McBRIDE in the spot to promote Oz.
But the ad was so popular there is now a fan campaign to get it made. I'd watch it, mate.
Dan Woottons Bizarre Jukebox
THERE are loads of tunes out this week – and I bring you the best of the bunch.
My Bizarre Jukebox Spotify playlist is updated every Tuesday with 15 tracks from my top artists and the best new talent. Here are four from this week's list.
- US: JENNIFER LOPEZ has returned with a brilliant dance single – that she first teased on Instagram last March – thanks to regular JUSTIN BIEBER collaborator POO BEAR and DJ SKRILLEX.
- GET OUT: Scottish pop trio CHVRCHES are catchier than ever with the first single from third album Love Is Dead, due later this year. Get Out has a bouncy pop chorus and buzzing synths.
- IN THE END: He released his brilliant single Whispers last year, now actor and singer DAVID LUKE follows it up with this foot-stomping country tune with big guitar solo. One to keep an eye on.
- PRAY FOR ME: Black Panther, the super-hero film, is a whole lot better for this slick hip-hop track from THE WEEKND, featuring KENDRICK LAMAR. Worlds ahead of his 2016 album Starboy.
