Selena Gomez drama? Bombshell unfollows Demi Lovato and 250 pals on Instagram

The Selena Gomez Justin Bieber drama has been pushed aside, and this week it's the singer's Instagram that has everybody talking.

Fans have spotted that the blonde beauty has gone through the process of cutting down the list of people she follows on the official Selena Gomez Instagram account, at the expense at some of her closest pals.

The Wolves singer – who is the most followed person on the social media platform – has unfollowed over 250 accounts, decreasing the number of people on her feed from 316 to a mere 37.

Among the names removed from her list were Tell Me You Love Me star Demi Lovato, and Zayn Malik's girlfriend Gigi Hadid.

During the overhaul, Selena's assistant Theresa Mingus was even cut from the list.

However, a certain few did make it through, with BFF Taylor Swift securing her spot, as well as Amy Schumer, Jessica Alba, and Selena's best friend and kidney donor Francia Raisia.

Also, a list of Selena Gomez fan accounts also survived the epic culling.

Despite wearing down the unfollow button, it may not be all bad news, as the 25-year-old previously revealed she doesn't even hold the password for her Instagram account anymore.

In fact, the former Disney starlet revealed her assistant often posts in her place.

Selena told Vogue: "As soon as I became the most followed person on Instagram, I sort of freaked out.

"It had become so consuming to me. It's what I woke up to and went to sleep to. I was an addict, and it felt like I was seeing things I didn't want to see, like it was putting things in my head that I didn't want to care about.

"I always end up feeling like s*** when I look at Instagram. Which is why I'm kind of under the radar, ghosting it a bit."

Hitting the capital looking seriously glam, the Selena's outfit accidentally turned see-through when the paparazzi's camera bulbs flashed.
