Justin Bieber's Mom Defends Her "Fruit-Bearing" Son

Look, I'm not here to write Jelena wedding fanfic just yet, but I am saying that all would not be well at the family table during the reception, OK? Because Justin and Selena's moms are maybe in the midst of a passive-aggressive back-and-forth. Following less-than-positive comments about bb Biebs from Selena's mom Mandy Teefey earlier this week, Bieber's mom, Pattie Mallette, has shared a shirtless photo of him on Instagram along with an effusive caption about how proud her son makes her.

"I admire your character and integrity," she wrote. "You are maturing beautifully and wise beyond your years."

The post comes days after Gossip Copreported Mandy Teefey, Gomez's mom, is "not happy" about the two rekindling their controversial relationship, which started back in 2011. "Selena can live her life however she wants as long as she is happy, safe and healthy," Teefey said. Yeah, that doesn't sound happy or supportive.

Once Gomez was released from a short stint in rehab in 2017, Teefey supposedly told Bieber to back TF off, basically, and leave her daughter alone. When she later heard Jelena were back together, she and Gomez had a huge spat — and she had to be hospitalized.

Mallette's gushing didn't directly address Teefey, but it's hard to think she wasn't in protective mode when typing the caption, especially the "give grace" part.

But hey, feuding aside, she's given the world another shirtless photo of the singer. And for that, thank you moms.
