A Latin Grammy trophy meant for Justin Bieber was accidentally sent to singer Marc Anthony's producer, Carlos Escalona Cruz.
Cruz took to Instagram on Monday and shared a clip and series of shots documenting the musical mistake, as he was expecting a trophy for Marc Anthony for Babies, Anthony's Latin Grammy-winning collection of instrumentals he worked on.
In a short clip in the post, Cruz was seen carefully opening the box that contained the Grammy, expressing his shock in realizing he'd gotten the trophy intended for the Canadian pop star.

Botch: Marc Anthony's producer Carlos Escalona Cruz took to Instagram Monday to show he'd received a Latin Grammy trophy meant for Justin Bieber
'What the f***!' said Cruz, as he panned in on the prize intended for Bieber for his work on the hit summer single Despacito with Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee, the Latin Grammy Award for Best Urban Fusion/Performance.
'This is the funniest way to start #2018,' Cruz wrote. 'I was expecting a #Grammy for @marcanthony for babies and I received @justinbieber Grammy for #despacito remix with @luisfonsi and @daddyyankee instead.'
Cruz had been awaiting the delivery of a Grammy for Best Latin Children's Album, which Anthony won at the Latin Grammys in Las Vegas on November 16, 2017, a ceremony Bieber did not attend.
Cruz had a bit of fun with the blunder, posting a series of memes directing Bieber to give back his Grammy, featuring well-known faces ranging from former President Barack Obama to Star Trek's Patrick Stewart to Al Pacino's Scarface kingpin Tony Montana to real-life kingpin Joaquín 'El Chapo' Guzmán.
Winner's circle: Cruz (L) and Bieber (R) were both on the receiving end of Grammys during the November 2017 ceremony, but a mix-up saw Bieber's trophy sent to Cruz
Sense of humor: Cruz deducted that the mix-up extended both ways, as he assumed Bieber was in possession of his trophy
The show goes on: Luis Fonsi (L) and Daddy Yankee (R) sang Despacito at Sunday's Grammys in NYC, with beauty queen Zuleyka Rivera's (center) performance stealing the spotlight
Cruz told TMZ he contacted Grammy officials, who said they were sorry about the mix-up and asked him to send it back.
Bieber did not attend Sunday's American Grammy Awards from New York CIty, as he was seen in Santa Monica, California with friends, according to Entertainment Tonight.
Fonsi and Daddy Yankee performed the smash-hit single, with beauty queen Zuleyka Rivera stealing the show with her dance moves flanking them.
Making the best of it: Cruz posted a series of memes mocking his pursuit to retrieve the Grammy he's due for his work with Marc Anthony
