The legendary songwriter, behind Justin Bieber's 'Sorry' and Selena Gomez's 'Hands To Myself', shocked pop music fans last night when he hinted at something major during the Golden Globes.
Britney worked extensively with Tranter on her ninth album Glory, so we're not surprised that the hitmakers would reunite for her next outing.
BuzzFeed's Christian Zamora spoke to Tranter on the Globes red carpet and asked if we should expect the pop icon to drop new material any time soon, and the answer was incredible.
EXCUSE ME EVERYONE I NEED YOUR ATTENTION!!!
I just talked to @justtranter at the Globes and OBVIOUSLY I brought up Britney and he said "Just wait."
SHE'S COMING YA'LL.

Instead of the usual top-secret answers many would give, he slyly said - on the record! - "Just wait." Soooo, that means our girl is coming back with a vengeance, right?
Glory - a slick, minimal R&B-pop affair - was Britney's most critically-acclaimed album in years when it dropped in 2016 and quickly became a favourite with fans, ranked among her magnum opus Blackout and 2003's In The Zone.
In addition to Justin, Britney worked with his songwriting partner and pop queen Julia Michaels, and their frequent collaborators BloodPop and Mattman & Robin.
With her four-year Las Vegas residency officially over and a worldwide tour announcement expected imminently, this could be Britney's biggest album campaign since Femme Fatale.
Are you ready? We know we are!
