Story About Selena Gomez “Upset” With Family's Disapproval Of Justin Bieber Is Made-Up

A new story claiming to have inside scoop about Selena Gomez being "upset" with her family for its "disapproval" of Justin Bieber is made-up. Gossip Cop can expose this fabricated report that asserts she's "determined" to "prove them wrong." We're told no one close to Gomez is sharing this type of information with any websites, particularly with an outlet she once called "the worst."

According to the fan-fiction writers at HollywoodLife, Gomez is "unhappy about her family's negative opinions on Justin," and she's "determined" to show them how healthy her rekindled relationship is. The often discredited site maintains that Gomez is ready to let her family "know they are wrong for believing negative things" about Bieber. A seemingly made-up "source close to Selena" is even quoted as telling the site (Gomez hates), "She's upset, but totally not phased by her family's disapproval though, if anything it makes her all the more determined to make it work out with Justin to prove them wrong." The same supposed "insider" adds that Bieber is "the love of her life, and there's no way she's going to walk away from their one last shot at love just to appease her mother."

While it's true there is friction between Gomez and her mom, Mandy Teefey, over Bieber, the aptly nicknamed HollywoodLies has absolutely no insight whatsoever into what's actually going on between the actress-singer and her mother. At best, the blog is "guessing" under the guise of having a "source." That seems to be what the repeatedly discredited site does a lot. Remember, Gossip Cop nailed the outlet when it falsely claimed Bieber was joining Gomez for Thanksgiving in Texas.

Not only was that a lie, but the often disproven site then also doubled down with an equally untrue article about how Gomez was hoping Bieber would spend Christmas with her and her family. In that manufactured story, the serial fibbers at HollywoodLies contended a source close to Gomez also told it that, while Thanksgiving didn't work out because the "timing was not right," she felt they would be together for Christmas because the actress didn't want to "spend another holiday apart" from Bieber. But, as Gossip Cop exclusively reported at the time, an actual Gomez insider assured us Bieber would be nowhere near the family since they "wouldn't take a chance of ruining Christmas" with him around.

Again, despite website's phony claims about having a "source close" to Gomez, the blog has been habitually wrong about her. So clearly the alleged "source" is either no insider at all or the outlet made-up this unnamed individual. And it's hard to believe anyone "close" to the singer-actress is speaking to HollywoodLies, considering Gomez slammed the outlet as "the worst" in Billboard and even told her Instagram followers, "HollywoodLife is never true. Ever." Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in an actual Gomez confidante, and we're assured the online publication is just "guessing."
