All we want for Christmas is to honor the one and only Mariah Carey

Mariah Carey's Christmas jingle, "All I Want For Christmas Is You," is not only iconic, but is still breaking records in 2017. Released in 1994, the song just made the Billboard Top 10 for the first time ever. In 2017.

Carey told Billboard:

"As a songwriter, I feel so honored to have this song reach Billboard's [Hot 100] top 10 for the first time. I honestly never thought we'd be talking about this happening, but I'm so thankful to everyone who embraces this song as part of their holiday tradition."

We do embrace it as our holiday tradition, Mariah! We really do!

The original music video for the song, which is iconic and a must-watch if you haven't seen it already, has 372,651,842 views. (And it wasn't even published on the site until 2009.

What makes this song so dang iconic?

Could it be the brilliant lyrics, which she wrote with Walter Afanasieff? The iconic bell chimes? The remix with Canadian heartthrob Justin Bieber in 2011? As of 2017, the song was reported to have earned $60 million in royalties, so obviously something about it has embedded itself deeply into our yuletide hearts.

So here's to you, Mariah Carey, our Christmas queen. All we want for Christmas is YOU.
