#Justin Bieber got himself another interesting tattoo to add to his growing collection. In a series of Instagram updates over the weekend, the pop artist revealed a massive tattoo that covered his entire torso. According to PEOPLE, the singer has collected over 60 tattoos since he started getting them in 2010.
The "#Love Yourself" crooner had a seagull tattoo for his 16th birthday. It was reported that his first-ever ink was inspired by Richard Bach's "Jonathan Livingston Seagull" that revolves around the story of a seagull trying to understand life and flight. Since then, the Canadian artist grew his collection of tattoos ranging from Bible verses, phrases, religious symbols, and other more.
The internet reacts to JB's massive torso tattoo
In a previous interview, Justin Bieber [VIDEO] admitted he attempted to cover up a tattoo dedicated to Selena Gomez after they broke up. "This is my ex-girlfriend, so I tried to cut her face up with some shading, but people still know," he said, referring to a tattoo on his wrist.
The 23-year-old singer, however, earned mixed response from fans and critics alike for his new torso tattoo after he revealed it on social media. Some were not happy with his decision, while others came to the defense of the artist.
"Justin no more tattoo. You are ruining your amazing self and body," a commenter said. Another countered, "He can do whatever he wants with his body and he's big enough to make decisions."
Amid backlash over his new tattoo, Justin Bieber liked a comment from a follower who defended him from his critics.

"Do you really think he's going to care what you think? At the end of the day it's his body," the comment read.

tattoos don't define a person so don't break his confidence just because you don't like the same things as him. I respect you @justinbieber

Tattoo artist explains story behind JB's new ink
In an interview with E! News, Justin Bieber's tattoo artist, Bang Bang, said it took them three days to finish the new ink. "We added two angels, one on each side," he explained. "Below each one, they're dominating the evil."
He described the design as a "symbolic Gothic art" that showed a struggle between contrasting forces. "The thing that made the most sense to me was a tattoo describing his spirituality," he continued.

Bang Bang added he tried to make these religious symbols meaningful and connected rather than scattered. He also revealed that Justin Bieber did not have a plan in mind when he reached out to have his seagull covered. The tattoo artist crafted the design for three weeks before he met the singer for a three-day tattoo session.
When asked if the pop artist still plans to get more, Bang Bang guaranteed there is more to come for Justin Bieber's collection of tattoos. #Justin Bieber tattoo
