JUSTIN Bieber has told The Sun Online Ed Sheeran owes him a song after the red-headed superstar bashed him over the head with a golf club.
The incident happened in a bar in Japan, when a rather merry Ed tried to hit a gold ball out of the 23-year-old singer's mouth.
It went horribly wrong, with Ed accidentally whacking Justin straight in the chops.
When we caught up with the Canadian hitmaker, he was more than cool about the night and joked all he wanted for penance was another hit song.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, Justin said: "Of course I want him to write for me again in the future.
"I get that every artist out there wants him to write for them - but we are buddies and he still owes me from hitting me with a golf club!"
As well as writing Love Yourself previously for Justin, Ed has worked with some of the biggest names in music – including Taylor Swift, Rudimental and The Weeknd.
But even though Ed owes Justin a track to make up for the amateur golfing incident, Justin told us it's not easy to tie the 26-year-old down.
He explained: "Artists are fighting over Ed - he is a genius when it comes to song writing.
"If Ed writes you a song you pretty much know you have a guaranteed hit.
"I think probably a lot of people aren't even aware of some of the songs he has written for the biggest performers in the world over the last few years.
"He wrote Love Yourself for me and bang – it was the biggest song of 2016."
