Tay-Tay's ex is a growing success.

A Scottish DJ is now on par with the likes of The Rolling Stones, Eminem and Oasis.

Calvin Harris, Taylor Swift's ex-boyfriend, has had eight number one singles hit the number one spot, The BBC reported.

The 33-year old's latest song, Feels, features Katy Perry, Pharrell and Big Sean.

It even knocked off Luis Fonsi and Justin Bieber's Despacito, which was played 4.6 billion times across all streaming services.

Harris hasn't managed yet to topple off Cliff Richard, who is the only British male solo artist ahead of Harris with 14 chart toppers to his name.

Harris' chart topping songs include Dance Wiv Me (with Dizzee Rascal, 2008), I'm Not Alone (2009), We Found Love (with Rihanna, 2011), Sweet Nothing (2012), Under Control (2013), Summer (2014), Blame (2014) and now Feels (with Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams and Big Sean, 2017).

Feels is also Williams' fourth No. 1 in the territory, Perry's fifth and Big Sean's first, Billboard Charts reported.

In the top five this week, in consecutive order behind Feels, are Unforgettable (French Montana feat. Swae Lee), Wild Thoughts (DJ Khaled feat. Rihanna and Bryson Tiller), Despacito (Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber) and New Rules (Dua Lipa).

Ad Feedback

Despite being a huge sensation, Harris told Vanity Fair last year that he was "not good at being a celebrity".

Reuters reported that Harris earned US$48.5 million between June 2016 and June 2017, making him the highest paid DJ for the fifth year in row.

Harris broke up with Swift last year after a year long romance.
