Photographer struck by Justin Bieber's truck speaks out from hospital: 'He's a good kid'

The paparazzo who was hit by Justin Bieber's truck Wednesday night while the pop singer was leaving a church service says he's "hanging in there" and doesn't have any hard feelings about the incident.

"Hour before my birthday hits, I get ran over by Justin Bieber," photographer Maurice Lamont mused in an Instagram video posted Thursday. "Isn't that something? He's a good kid, though. I think the truck was a little bit too big for him, though, because there's no way he could see over the front — it was the slope it was on. But like I said, he got out, he was compassionate, he's a good kid, accidents happen."

The video was recorded from a hospital as Lamont — who goes by the moniker Shotgetter — was preparing for X-rays. "Hopefully everything works out here," he added.

VIDEO: Justin Bieber cancels tour 'after careful consideration'

Bieber clipped Lamont outside the Saban Theater, home of the City Church, in Beverly Hills, California, while trying to escape a group of paparazzi. Police said the incident appeared to be an accident.

The mishap came just days after Bieber canceled his Purpose world tour due to "unforeseen circumstances."
