REVEALED: Alan Walker will be opening for Justin Bieber's 'Purpose Tour' in India!

Good news, Indian Beliebers! The first opening act for Justin Bieber's Indian leg of his massive Purpose Tour has been revealed – and it is Norwegian music producer and internet sensation Alan Walker.

In an official press statement released by the star's PR team, it was announced: "Justin Bieber will bring his Purpose Tour to India on May 10, this year and he will be accompanied on this pit stop by none other than the talented Norwegian music producer and internet sensation Alan Walker."

"Alan Walker is one of Billboard's Dance Artists to Watch in 2017, who achieved a major milestone this year by joining the elite billions club on YouTube with his breakout hit Faded that received platinum certifications in over 10 countries." the statement added. Walker's breakout single, Faded, became one of the biggest dance hits of late 2016 and early 2017, and is currently one of the top international songs in India.

This is not the producer's first trip to the nation, as he previously appeared as part of the Enchanted Valley Carnival line-up on December 17-18 with Farhan Akhtar, Arijit Singh and Flo Rida. The producer himself is excited about his return to the country. "I'm really looking forward to returning to India. My last performance there was amazing, and I can't wait to my next visit. It's also a great opportunity and honour to perform alongside Justin Bieber. Who knows, maybe my Indian fans will get a chance to hear some of my new music?"

The statement also said that a final line-up of the performance would be revealed by mid-April, and that the Canadian pop star would perform his biggest hits like Baby, Boyfriend, Where Are U Now, What Do You Mean, Sorry, Company, and As Long As You Love Me among others.

The Purpose World Tour began in March of 2016, and has since then grossed over $ 200 million worldwide. The song's Asian leg would comprise of performances in Mumbai, Dubai and Tel Aviv, touring in support of his fourth studio album, the highly successful Purpose. The Purpose Tour will come to Mumbai on the May 10, at the DY Patil Stadium.
