Some may be shocked that Justin Bieber has beaten Prince in a poll of favorite artists. NME talks about a poll taken among 2,000 people in the U.K.
"David Bowie has been named the UK's favourite musician, beating the likes of Ed Sheeran, Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson. The poll, conducted by CamRate, asked 2,000 Brits to name their favourite male and female musicians as well as asking them to rank their favourite [sic] actors."
The article adds that Adele was named the favorite female singer. She beat out the likes of Beyonce, Madonna, Taylor Swift, and Tina Turner. Still, many people are talking about how Justin Bieber could be placed ahead of Prince on a list of favorite artists. However, in terms of music, 2015 and 2016 have been fantastic years for Bieber. The Inquisitr's Paige Mackinley recently celebrated Bieber's four Grammy nominations.

The pop prince landed four nods, setting a record for the most 2017 Grammy nominations for any male artist in the pop category."
Mackinley adds that Bieber is nominated for Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Pop Solo Performance. Bieber's comeback started in 2015, and by September, Billboard even reported on Bieber beating the odds.
"It's hard to think of a 21st century male pop star subject to more naysaying, unkind mockery and unjustified hatred than Justin Bieber. As the international pop idol's music output slowed down and adolescent antics increased over the last few years, haters predicting an unceremonious fall into obscurity for the once-omnipresent pop star were given plenty of fuel for their fire," claimed Billboard's Joe Lynch, who added that not only did Bieber score a huge hit that summer with "Where Are U Now," a collaboration with Diplo and Skrillex, but that his new single (back then) "What Do You Mean?" debuted at No. 1.
In November of 2015, Bieber released his new album Purpose, which sold 649,000 album equivalents its first week of release. It was the largest debut of the year. But it got even better. By January of 2016, Billboard revealed that Justin Bieber held the No. 1 and No. 2 positions on Billboard's Hot 100 with "Sorry," and "Love Yourself." Bieber had become only the 17th act ever to hold the top two positions at the same time. The other acts that have achieved this include Mariah Carey, The Weeknd, Usher, the Bee Gees, and the Beatles.
Despite a great year, Bieber couldn't stay out of trouble. [Image by Theo Wargo/Getty Images]Justin Bieber has also found himself in trouble a couple different times in 2016. According to Us Weekly, Mr. Bieber punched a fan in the face back in early November.

The Canadian superstar was caught on camera on Tuesday, November 22, punching a fan in the face as he arrived at his concert in Barcelona. The video obtained by TMZ appears to show Bieber lashing out at the young man who was trying to touch him through the open window of his chauffeur-driven car."
According to the Sun, a fan at the scene of the event claims that the young man who got punched had bragged before the incident that he was going to hit the singer. Many argued that this girl and Bieber's other fans were just trying to protect their favorite star's image. In any case, Justin hit the fan in the face without having any idea of his intentions. Let's hope that Justin can stay out of trouble in 2017 and continue on his comeback path with more hits and more Grammys.
