The second half of November is officially upon us, meaning it is now more acceptable than ever to listen to holiday songs. Considering that November 1 has become the official start date of "The Holidays" – in part, thanks to Starbucks's red cups – many of us have probably been listening to festive tunes for a while now. But even if you're old-school and refuse to listen until after Thanksgiving has come and gone, the days of ugly sweaters and jingle bells are rapidly approaching.
Teen Vogue put together a playlist to get you in the holiday spirit with classic tunes by Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald to modern-day covers by Little Mix and Fifth Harmony. And of course, no holiday playlist is complete without Justin Bieber and BeyoncĂ© — trust us, we're holiday professionals. Here's some music to warm your heart as you head home for the holidays this year (and if you listen early, we won't blame you).
"Frosty the Snowman" is a classic holiday tune that's required listening around this time of year – but it gets even better with the Jackson 5 version.
I mean...who wouldn't want to be under the mistletoe with the Biebs? Just sayin'.
We're throwing it back with this one – but no one does holiday harmonizing like one of the original and greatest of boy bands, *NSync.
For something a little different, The Vamps has you covered. This one speaks to anyone waiting for a snow day.
Seth Cohen would be proud of you for listening to a Ben Kweller song while you celebrate Chrismukkah. Make sure to fry your latkes extra crispy and go all out with the tinsel decorations.
We still can't get enough of this festive song by Ariana Grande. It's like the 2016 version of Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas."
OK, Alicia Keys literally dominates this cover of "Little Drummer Boy." It's fun to hear the classic jingle get a totally new sound in this version.
When it comes to the actors on Glee, one thing is for certain – they never do anything halfway. No matter what song they're singing, they go all-out and with so much spirit. Their rendition of "Let it Snow" is no different.
Thanks to the Maccabeats, we have some indie-pop tunes just in time for Hanukkah. Make sure you blast this one at full volume when you light your menorah this year!
Little Mix's "Love Me Like You" gets a North Pole makeover in this version! As soon as the song starts, you immediately hear jingle bells, letting you know it's time for glitter and peppermint.
For those who prefer rock music to pop, don't worry – One Republic is here for you. But you've been warned: this song will make you want to text the person you want to be underneath the mistletoe with.
Meghan Trainor's "I'll Be Home" is the perfect song to power-belt along with as you're trapped inside a car for a few hours during holiday travel. Just don't be surprised if you get a tear in your eye.
All others attempting to cover this song can just go home. Beyoncé's incredible vocals are perfect for this classic ballad.
Sometimes an iconic song is best heard in one of its original versions. It's hard to compete with the Andrews Sisters on this one.
"Last Christmas" gets a bubblegum pop makeover in Carly Rae's version. Grab your besties and sing along.
It's easy to get addicted to Christina Perri's soulful voice. Her incredible singing skills are perfect for this song, and it should be a staple in your holiday playlist every year. Also, that instrumental jazz break in the middle is everything.
A Lady Gaga Christmas carol sounds exactly how you might imagine it – equal parts funky, festive, and eclectic. This will get you dancing in the backseat of your parents' car for sure.
No holiday playlist is complete without "Sleigh Ride" by Ella Fitzgerald. Listen to this song and close your eyes – are you not instantly transported to the mall during peak holiday shopping time?!
Mary J. Blige legit slays this song, and her riffs are something to admire for days. Also, we love the full band behind her – though nothing could top her vocal skills.
John Legend puts a bluesy spin on this holiday classic. We can just imagine listening to this song while sipping hot cocoa by a fire.
If we're including Ella Fitzgerald here, we also have to list Frank Sinatra's "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." It's in every holiday movie since the beginning of time, and it makes us want to curl up in a blanket with our pets.
We could listen to Destiny's Child harmonizing on this song for days. How do three humans make such amazing sounds?
Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga are, like, total friendship goals. Their rendition of "Winter Wonderland" reminds us of an old Broadway show, with everyone in the audience wearing tuxes or ball gowns.
To be clear, this is not the same "Sleigh Ride" as track 18, and it is quintessential TLC. From their harmonizing in the choruses to the rap verses, this song takes us back.
Jessie J is super jazzy in this song. Between her powerful voice and the saxophone in the background, this track makes us want to bake some gingerbread and wrap presents.
Fifth Harmony's take on the classic Mariah Carey song is perfection. They've kept a lot of the original arrangement but added a lot of new riffs to put their own spin on it.
It's a rule that no playlist can have too much Justin Bieber. This collab between him and Usher is a perfect way to end the compilation. We'll be waiting underneath the mistletoe, Justin.
