Justin Bieber explains his behaviour during his UK tour ... and then swiftly deletes the tweet

Justin Bieber took to Twitter this morning (October 30) to defend himself after criticism about his behaviour on the UK leg of his Purpose tour - but not for long, as the singer soon deleted the tweet from his timeline.

Biebs has come under fire in the last few weeks for his slightly diva-esque ways, after he called fans at a Birmingham concert "obnoxious", then stormed off-stage at his show in Manchester.

But after a seemingly quiet concert in Glasgow (he called the crowd "truly amazing", after all), he took to Twitter to explain his actions at his previous concerts.

Posting something along the lines of a mini-essay, Bieber captioned the statement: "Tonight on stage. Thank you."

"People tend to want to shut you down," the statement read. "What I mean by that is...people try to twist things, some people don't want to listen."

The heartfelt explanation goes on: "There's going to be times where I say the wrong thing, Because I'm human... There's times when I get upset... times when I get angry, there's times when I'm going to be frustrated. But I'm always going to be myself on this stage."

This kind of on-stage honesty may have lead to his storming off stage with a *literal* mic-drop at his Manchester show last week.

But Justin later returned to the stage with a pretty similar explanation, saying: "I feel like I wanna connect with you."

In today's statement, Justin also hit back at the press reaction to his antics - as well as the angry fans who have been slamming him for his on-stage behaviour - by saying: "When people try to twist things and say, 'Justin's angry at his fans. He doesn't want his fans to scream' that's not at all what I was doing.

"All I was simply doing was wanting people to listen; to kind of hear me out a little bit."

He finished by showering his Glasgow audience with compliments, adding: "I just appreciate you guys tonight, listening to me and understanding, and rocking with me. You guys are truly amazing."

With all this talk of honesty and being himself, its not exactly clear why Biebs felt the need to then delete the tweet and he's maintained a Twitter silence ever since.

Still, with three more dates left of his UK tour, there's still every chance we could get a few more explanations soon.
