Well, if you're a helpless romantic like Lionel Richie, 67, you're going to support Justin Bieber, 22, and Sofia's, 18, romance and let it happen! "Sofia is so happy that Lionel is completely OK with how things are going," a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. "Lionel is totally cool with Justin."

Well, that's kind of surprising, considering Justin has a track record of loving-and-leaving women. In recent months, Justin has been linked to Bronte Blampeid, Hailey Baldwin, Sahara Ray, Kourtney Kardashian, AND a mystery brunette, whom he reportedly exchanged phone numbers with outside a West Hollywood restaurant. Still, Lionel feels Justin deserves a chance with his daughter. "Justin has not once gotten Sofia in trouble," continues the source. "Justin has put his daughter in zero harm, and has always been a really nice guy when they have been in the same room." Sister Nicole also doesn't seem to mind that Justin has swooped in and scooped Sofia up. Maybe he has an angelic side, after all.

We don't really know what happened with the mystery brunette, but besides that night, Justin has been the most loving and attentive boyfriend. He blew back from the U.K. to celebrate Sofia's 18th birthday in LA at The Nice Guy Lounge, and then treated her to a steamy vacation in Mexico. The young lovers were also seen grabbing a quick bite to eat at Subway, where Justin's credit card was embarrassingly declined! Luckily, one true Belieber was there to help pay for the singer's sandwiches, cookies and milk.
